We read about a woman standing on the moon in Revelation 12:1. This woman shows the Church of God or every individual believer. The moon stands for the grace of God, and feet, for our covenants and dedications. ‘Standing on the moon’ therefore shows that when we stand on our dedications we will have grace in our lives. When we are not firm in our dedications we are virtually taking our feet off the grace of God. So, child of God, hold on to your dedications to have grace to be perfected and found as His bride.
According to your calling you must make covenants with God. The grace you have will be as great as the covenants you have made with the Lord. If you are a servant of God, or if you are called to be a servant of God, your covenant with God should be deeper; the grace to live that life will be bestowed on you. About Mount Zion, it is stated that it ‘cannot be removed but abideth for ever’ (Psa 125:1).
So child of God, step out to serve God without doubting whether you will be able to stand firm to the end in all the fiery trials. We can live like Mount Zion – a life which never moves, by trusting in the unlimited grace of God. The Lord says that even if mountains move His kindness and His covenant of peace shall not depart from us. If we do not depart from our covenant with God, His kindness or grace will not depart from us. This is the secret of a victorious Christian life; this is the secret of the Zion-life!
About the Zion-saints, the Psalmist says that they go from strength to strength (Psa 84:7). Because of the strength at their covenant, because of the abundant grace that flows through this covenanted life, the way of Zion is not a narrow way, but a broad way! If you find this way narrow and difficult, it is because you are not keeping your covenant with your God!
“I never will my love withdraw
For oh, I love Thee more and more,
And Thy undying love for me
Shall be my theme eternally.”
