“Have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.” I Jn 1:3
Just as the woman was expected to be with the man always, the Church is expected to be in close fellowship with Christ, her Bridegroom – lest she be deceived by the devil and sin against Him.
Instead of making use of her precious time to commune with Adam, the woman was communing with the devil, the serpent. Very often, children of God who profess to have no time to pray or commune with God, have plenty of time to commune with the devil. We also need the fellowship of the saints who have have a close fellowship with the Lord.
Let us maintain our fellowship with the Lord and His saints. If we try to find fellowship with someone else we may fall into the snare of the devil. “”Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God?”" (Jms 4:4).
